Qlock – Privacy Policy

Qlock is a Chrome extension developed by Qlark.Studio.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Qlock uses and how it is handled.
1. Data we use
Qlock uses the following information to provide its core functionality:
- Approximate location: Qlock uses the
geojs.ioservice to
approximate your city based on your IP address. - Weather data: Qlock uses the
open-meteo.comAPI to fetch
current weather conditions and a short-term forecast for your approximate location. - Device time: Qlock reads your device’s local system time to display
the current time and date.
Qlock does not access your browsing history, page content, passwords, or other sensitive
personal information.
2. How we use this data
The data described above is used only to:
- Determine your approximate location so local weather can be shown.
- Request weather information from
open-meteo.com. - Display the correct time and date in the extension popup.
We do not use this data for advertising, tracking, profiling, or any purpose unrelated
to showing time and weather.
3. Data storage and sharing
- Qlock does not create user accounts or long-term user profiles.
- Qlock does not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- Requests to
geojs.ioandopen-meteo.comare made only to
provide the extension’s core functionality.
4. Third-party services
Qlock relies on the following third-party services:
- geojs.io – to approximate your city from your IP address.
- open-meteo.com – to provide weather information.
These services have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle data on
their side. We recommend reviewing their policies for more details.
5. Your choices
If you do not want Qlock to use your IP address for approximate location, you can
uninstall or disable the extension at any time using the Chrome Extensions page
(chrome://extensions).
