Enhanced Tabs Manager (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: basically nothing) and how we handle it.

What We Do

Enhanced Tabs Manager helps you organize and manage your browser tabs efficiently by:

• 🗂️ Grouping similar tabs by title and URL
• 🧹 Identifying and removing duplicate tabs
• ⚡ Providing quick actions (bookmark, close, duplicate, remind later)
• 💾 Storing your preferences locally on your device

Data Collection and Usage

We do NOT collect any of the following:

• ❌ Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• ❌ Health information
• ❌ Financial and payment information
• ❌ Authentication credentials (passwords, security questions, etc.)
• ❌ Personal communications (emails, messages, etc.)
• ❌ Location data
• ❌ Web browsing history
• ❌ User activity tracking
• ❌ Website content beyond what’s needed for tab management

What Data Stays Local

The Extension uses browser storage APIs to save the following locally on your device only:

• Your tab grouping preferences
• Scheduled reminders for tabs
• “Close later” lists
• Extension settings and preferences

This data never leaves your device. It’s not sent to any server, not shared with third parties, and not accessible to anyone but you.

Permissions We Use

The Extension requires certain browser permissions to function. Here’s why:

• tabs: To access information about your open tabs (titles, URLs, states) for grouping and management
• bookmarks: To allow you to save tabs as bookmarks directly from the extension
• alarms: To support the “remind later” feature with scheduled notifications
• storage: To save your preferences and settings locally on your device

Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. There are no external scripts, no remote code execution, and no data transmission to external servers.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it remains there until you:

• Manually clear it through the extension
• Clear your browser’s extension data
• Uninstall the extension

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• All data is stored locally on your device
• You can delete the extension and all its data at any time
• No data restoration is possible once deleted (since we don’t store backups)

Children’s Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don’t collect data at all, this is not a concern.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
